Oscar-nominated actors Andrew Garfield and Jude Law are reportedly in talks to portray the legendary illusionists Siegfried & Roy in an upcoming Apple limited series. According to The InSneider, the project has been in development since 2022 and will be helmed by Only Murders in the Building co-creator John Hoffman.
The series will be based on Apple’s original podcast Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy, an eight-part deep dive into the lives, careers, and mysterious tragedy surrounding the world-famous Las Vegas duo. The show is set to offer a multi-perspective narrative, exploring the pair’s rise to fame, their groundbreaking performances featuring white tigers at The Mirage, and the tragic 2003 incident that reshaped their legacy.
Produced by Imagine Television, the series boasts an impressive team of executive producers, including Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. With Hoffman also serving as a writer and executive producer, expectations are high for a gripping retelling of the illusionists’ fascinating journey.
Both Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn passed away during the pandemic, but their story continues to captivate audiences. With Garfield and Law potentially leading the cast, this series could offer a mesmerizing and dramatic look at the fine line between illusion and reality.
