Fox Corporation raked in over $800 million in advertising revenue from Super Bowl LIX, leveraging its massive audience across Fox, Fox Deportes, and Tubi. The game, in which the Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22, set an all-time Super Bowl ratings record, attracting 127.7 million total viewers.
Super Bowl Ads Reach Record Prices
With live sports being one of the few remaining mass-audience events, advertisers eagerly competed for airtime. Some 30-second spots hit $8 million, while the average cost settled at $7.5 million per ad—setting a new high for Super Bowl commercial rates.
Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch called the event a “record-breaking and historic Super Bowl,” crediting the success to Fox Sports and Tubi. The streaming platform Tubi, which Fox acquired in 2020, saw 24 million unique viewers, with peak streaming numbers reaching 15.5 million concurrent users.
Fox’s Advertising Strength Continues
Fox’s strong ad revenue isn’t just limited to the Super Bowl. The company recently reported a 21% year-over-year increase in total ad revenue, citing a surge in sports and political advertising. Tubi alone has crossed the $1 billion revenue mark, solidifying its place as a leader in free, ad-supported streaming.
