Henry Cavill Rumored To Join Simon Kinberg's "Star Wars" Film As A Villain

Writer: Dan LalondeDan Lalonde

A new report suggests that Henry Cavill, best known for Man of Steel and The Witcher, may be stepping into the Star Wars universe—this time, as a villain.

According to insider sources via SFF Gazette, Cavill has reportedly met with Lucasfilm to discuss a role in the upcoming Star Wars trilogy being developed by Simon Kinberg. While details remain scarce, the part is expected to be an antagonist, marking a new direction for

Cavill after his recent cameo as a Wolverine variant in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Kinberg, known for his work on the X-Men franchise and as co-creator of Star Wars Rebels, has been tapped to spearhead a fresh era for the saga. His trilogy promises new characters and a reimagined storyline, making it the perfect entry point for a high-profile star like Cavill.

This rumor, if true, would add to the growing list of Star Wars projects in the works, including those led by James Mangold, Shawn Levy, Taika Waititi, and Donald Glover. With Cavill’s commanding screen presence and experience in action-heavy roles, fans are already speculating on which villain he could portray. Could he be a Sith Lord, an Imperial officer, or something entirely new?

For now, neither Cavill nor Lucasfilm has confirmed the talks, but anticipation is high. Would you like to see Cavill in Star Wars? Let us know in the comments!
