Jenna Ortega Is Done With MCU After Iron Man Cameo: “I Have One Leg & I’m the VP’s Daughter.”

Writer: Dan LalondeDan Lalonde

Jenna Ortega, known for her roles in Wednesday and the upcoming Beetlejuice 2, doesn’t seem too eager to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)—despite technically already being a part of it.

While promoting her new film Death of a Unicorn alongside Paul Rudd, Ortega was asked about possibly joining the MCU in a bigger role. Her response? She’s already been there—briefly.

Ortega revealed she had a small, uncredited role in Iron Man 3 as the daughter of the U.S. Vice President, played by Miguel Ferrer. “I did it once. It was one of the first jobs I ever did. They took all my lines out,” she admitted. “I’m in Iron Man 3 for a quick second. I take up the frame, I have one leg, and I’m the vice president’s daughter.”

Paul Rudd, no stranger to the MCU as Ant-Man, jokingly suggested that Marvel could bring her character back in a bigger way: “Marvel is very good at like, kind of laying those breadcrumbs, and so it might very well be that you come back.”

But Ortega doesn’t seem convinced. She noted that she wasn’t even credited for the role: “They even took my name away. I count that, then I move on.”

Despite her brief appearance, Iron Man 3 was a massive success, grossing over $1.2 billion worldwide. Whether Marvel decides to revisit Ortega’s forgotten character remains to be seen—but for now, she seems content leaving that chapter behind.
