Maggie Grace Talks "Lost" Reboot Hopes: Getting Killed Off 'The Worst Heartbreak Of Her Career'

Writer: Dan LalondeDan Lalonde

Maggie Grace is just as excited as fans about the possibility of a Lost reboot—but she has a unique take on how it should be done.

At the Suits LA premiere on Feb. 20, the actress shared her thoughts on revisiting the beloved mystery drama, which ran from 2004 to 2010. Rather than continuing the original storyline, she envisions a "creative remix" that reimagines the show’s mythology in a fresh way.

"I think the fan community never felt like they really got the answer they were looking for at the end," Grace told PEOPLE. "So I think it would be really interesting to take some elements, untangle them, and run with them in a different direction."

While Lost captivated audiences with its complex characters and enigmatic plot twists, its finale left many viewers divided. Grace believes a reboot should explore new perspectives rather than serve as a direct sequel. "Not a picking up where they left off, but more 'Here are things we think we know about this world. Or do we?'"

Although no official plans for a revival exist, Grace would love to see the original cast reunite, perhaps for the show’s 25th anniversary. "I would just love to see everyone because, for me, it was like college," she shared.

Grace, who played Shannon Rutherford, previously described leaving Lost as "the worst heartbreak" of her career. Now starring in Suits LA, she continues to take on compelling roles—but she clearly still holds a deep affection for the show that helped launch her career.

Would you want to see a Lost reboot? And if so, should it be a reimagining or a continuation? Let us know in the comments!
