For the first time in nearly four decades, Masters of the Universe is making its way back to the big screen in live-action form. With production officially underway, fans have been treated to the first look at the upcoming He-Man reboot, along with a full cast reveal.
Mattel and the Masters of the Universe franchise quietly confirmed the cast lineup on February 23, dropping the announcement in a social media post that read:
"By the Power of Grayskull, filming for the new Masters of the Universe movie has officially kicked off! We are thrilled to introduce our incredible cast, bringing your favorite characters to life and a few new additions along the way."
The Masters of the Universe (2026) Cast
Nicholas Galitzine will take on the role of He-Man, leading an ensemble cast that includes:
Camila Mendes as Teela
Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn
Jared Leto as Skeletor
Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms
Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress
Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw
Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto
Kojo Attah as Triclops
Jon Xue Zhang as Ram Man
Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man
Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena

While most of these names are familiar to He-Man fans, Suzie and Hussein are original characters. Their inclusion hints at the film’s reimagined storyline, which reportedly follows a young Prince Adam who crashes to Earth at age 10, losing his Power Sword in the process. He will grow up on Earth, befriending Suzie and Hussein, before reclaiming his destiny and returning to Eternia.
With an A-list cast and a fresh take on the Masters of the Universe mythology, excitement is building for He-Man’s long-awaited return. Will this reboot finally deliver the epic He-Man adaptation fans have been waiting for? Only time will tell, but the power of Grayskull is officially back in action!
