Steven Spielberg’s highly anticipated new film, previously titled The Dish, has officially been renamed Disclosure. While the title might bring to mind the 1994 Michael Crichton adaptation starring Michael Douglas and Demi Moore, Spielberg’s project has no connection to that steamy corporate thriller.
Instead, Disclosure is expected to be a gripping sci-fi drama with a UFO-centric storyline. Details about the plot remain under wraps, but the film has been described as a "two-hander," suggesting a strong focus on the relationship between two central characters.
The star-studded cast includes Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, and Wyatt Russell. With a script penned by longtime Spielberg collaborator David Koepp (Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds), expectations are high for a compelling and thought-provoking story.
Filming is set to begin on February 28th in New Jersey, with legendary cinematographer Janusz Kamiński (Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan) handling the visuals. Universal Pictures has scheduled Disclosure for a theatrical release on May 15, 2026.
As excitement builds, fans will have to wait for more details—but with Spielberg at the helm, Disclosure is already shaping up to be one of 2026’s must-see films.
